Startech hosts one-day funding workshop

Are you an entrepreneur, researcher or small business owner in need of research and development funding? UTSA’s Institute for Economic Development and Startech are hosting a one-day workshop, Winning SBIR/STTR Awards, on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 8:30 – 4:15 p.m. This one-day workshop will provide tools, techniques, and tips for accessing federal R&D funding. The featured speaker is Ray Friesenhahn of TechLink.
Topics covered include:
- How SBIR/STTR can provide financing for your product development
- Status of current program and eligibility issues
- Proposal requirements and approaches
- Success factors
- How grant funding can lead to follow-on funding, investments, and procurement advantages
Network with industry experts, potential research partners, small business owners who have been successful at winning SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) awards, and local key resources.
