Texas Wide Open for Business is a state initiative that promotes economic development in the Lone Star State. Leading this effort is our keynote speaker, Robert Melvin, Small Business Development Director, Office of Governor Rick Perry. This conference will also provide contractors resources on government procurement and contracting opportunities available by state government agencies. The conference will feature a Texas Procurement Panel led by HUB specialists and an "Access to Capital" panel led by lenders and SBA representatives.

A representative from the Texas Department of Insurance will present some valuable tools regarding "Disaster Readiness and Recovery" for your small business. The importance of Bonding and Security as it applies to the government procurement world will also be presented.
